  • 2 oz Tequila (silver or reposado) Good-quality tequila is key.
  • 3 oz Apple Cider Fresh, unfiltered apple cider is best.
  • 1 oz Lime Juice Freshly squeezed for best flavor.
  • 1 oz Cointreau or Triple Sec For a citrusy sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar For rimming, mixed with ½ teaspoon cinnamon.
  • ½ teaspoon Ground Cinnamon For rimming the glass.
  • Ice A handful of ice cubes.

Optional Add-ons

  • 1 Cinnamon Stick Garnish.
  • 1 Apple Slice Garnish with a thin slice.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Rim a margarita glass with lime juice and dip it into a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, apple cider, lime juice, and Cointreau or Triple Sec with ice.
  • Shake well until chilled.
  • Strain into the prepared margarita glass.
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick and an apple slice.

Notes

For a smoother cocktail, use a fine mesh strainer when pouring into the glass.
