Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 500 g Thai glutinous rice
  • 400 ml coconut cream
  • 75 g sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Toppings

  • 100 ml coconut cream for topping
  • 0.5 pinch salt for topping
  • ripe mangoes
  • 50 g yellow mung beans

Preparation

  • Rinse the glutinous rice 6 to 10 times until the water is clear. Then soak the rice in water for about 6 hours.
  • Using a steamer, steam the glutinous rice for about 15 minutes until fully cooked, then set aside.
  • In a saucepan, add coconut cream for the rice over medium heat, and stir gently. Add sugar and salt, and continue to stir and cook until completely dissolved. When the coconut cream mixture comes to a boil, turn off the heat.

Notes

After rinsing the rice six times, the water should be clear. If it's milky, rinse the rice several more times.
