Ingredients
  

Hot Fudge

  • cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar 50 g.
  • 4 oz unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Sundae

  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoon confectioners' sugar
  • ½ gal vanilla ice cream
  • Rainbow sprinkles for serving (optional)
  • crushed peanuts for serving (optional)
  • maraschino cherry for serving (optional)

Instructions
 

Hot Fudge

  • In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, cook cream, granulated sugar, chocolate, corn syrup, and butter, whisking constantly, until chocolate is melted and mixture is thickened, 5 to 8 minutes.

Sundae Assembly

  • In a large bowl, using a handheld mixer on medium-high speed (or using a whisk), beat cream and confectioners’ sugar until medium peaks form. Transfer to a piping bag fitted with a star tip, if desired.
  • Divide ice cream among 6 sundae bowls. Drizzle hot fudge sauce over. Pipe (or spoon) whipped cream on top. Sprinkle with sprinkles and peanuts (if using). Top with cherry (if using).
