- ½ Cup Slivered Almonds Toasted
- 8 Ounces Cream Cheese
- 1 Cup Mayonnaise
- ½ Pound Cooked Bacon Chopped or Crumbled (8 to 9 slices)
- 1 Cup Swiss Cheese Shredded (Jarlsberg)
- 1 Cup Cheddar Cheese Shredded
- ¼ Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- ¼ Teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper

- 4 Green Onions Thinly Sliced

- Toast the slivered almonds in a small frying pan over medium-low heat for 4 to 6 minutes until they are golden brown. Shake the pan often to prevent the almonds from becoming too brown.
- Beat the cream cheese and mayonnaise in a large-sized bowl with a wire whisk until it is soft and fluffy.
- Add the toasted slivered almonds, chopped bacon, green onions, Swiss cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and black pepper and mix well.
- Transfer the dip to a container for the refrigerator, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours for the flavors to meld and marry.
- Serve the dip with crackers, small toasts, and celery sticks.
Notes
Make this dip at least 2 hours before serving it so the flavors can develop throughout the dip. This is a firm dip and thin chips just won't work. Serve it as a dip or a spread with slices of toasted baguettes, hearty crackers, and firm veggies.
