Instructions

Cooking Instructions

  • Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for toasting the buns and melting the cheese.
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it apart as it browns. Once fully cooked, drain off any excess fat.
  • Stir in the Italian seasoning, then pour in the pizza sauce. Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Place the burger bun halves cut side up on a baking sheet to help them crisp up evenly in the oven.
  • Spoon the beef and sauce mixture evenly over each bun half. Top with a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake the sliders in the oven for 12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the buns are lightly toasted.
  • Top each bottom bun with its matching top. Let them cool for a minute or two before serving.

Notes

Juicy, flavorful patties require high-quality ground beef with about 80/20 fat content to absorb sauces beautifully.
