Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 cups apple cider
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cups granulated sugar (for crust)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for crust)
  • 2 tablespoon melted butter (for crust)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs. Add apple cider and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, stirring until just combined to keep the loaf tender.
  • Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • While loaf is baking, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Once loaf is baked and slightly cooled, brush top with melted butter and sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture generously.
  • Slice and serve warm for best flavor and texture.

Notes

Substitute apple cider with apple juice or buttermilk if needed. Add chopped apples or nuts for extra texture. To make dairy-free, use plant-based butter. Serve with hot cider, chai tea, or vanilla ice cream for a special treat.
